I sat with my husband dreaming.
You see, after twenty-five years of marriage, sometimes making the time to dream together falls by the wayside. Sure, we spend time together, eat meals together and do those things parents do. We run our kiddos here and visit a kiddo there. But dreaming together? It wasn’t high on the priority list. We love each other. We adore our children. But here we are twenty-five years later and I think we had forgotten how important the dreaming we did as newlyweds actually is.
So back to our dreaming together….
With our youngest child heading off to college in a matter of weeks, we thought it was time to start an adventure of our own. Travel is one of our favorite things to do. We love sharing an experience together. So the question of that night was: “If you could travel to any place, where?”
We dreamed of travel to faraway places. We dreamed of where to stay. We dreamed. We researched. We made a list. (Lists are my specialty! But more on that another day.)
The next question was: Where should we go first! The spark had started a fire to see and do and experience everything we could about the destination. The first destination? France….Paris, to be exact.
